Lovely colours and I really like the rain drops, but I'm not sure about the composition. I think I would prefer a bit more blue on top because it doesn't seemed balanced to me.
I'm going to go and think about this and see If I can pin down whats troubling me. If I figure it out I'll add another post.

I like the colors and the DOF is good. I might have turned the camera slightly to the right and had it go through the shot diagonaly. But that's just a matter of personal taste. Nice picture CF.

Thanks very much for the comments. I tried the diagonal perspective but just outside the image are larger leaves that completely change the photo, and not for the better. I get what you mean, however.
I like the "wunderlight" The translucent leaves are perfect.
Things just look so different in the early A.M. The detail in the veins is outstanding. I see two spider web trails. The dew drops...A nice addition to the fab' colors. I really must know. What lense were you using here?
Color, focus, dof are great. I just always have trouble with lines leading off frame. I'd like it better if it was cropped to just the large leaf.
Love that blue.
Can I try playing with this and showing what I'm thinking. Its to hard to describe, and not sure it works without playing with it.

Thanks very much for the comments, I really enjoy getting comments from you guys. Roger, please feel free to play with the image. I would like to see what you can do with it. Rick, I used a Tamron 28-300 on a tripod.
These are the two crops I came up with in the end, both have a bit of rotation in the crop. The initial thought didn't work.
I think I prefer this one and you could clone out the drop at the bottom if you wanted.
Don't think the branch at the bottom works in this version.

Ok, I get it. You prefer the much tighter perspective. I will try that with the original. I don't know how to post on top of an existing thread to show you what I come up with but thanks for the idea.

CF
CF,
These were the only one's I could get out of the picture you posted. I would have liked a bit more room around the leaf, but the leading lines meant that they were distracting and tkaing the eye out of the picture. A better original shot or a lot of cloning could have got other views, well maybe .
What I was trying to do was to stop the stalks taking the eye out of the frame by putting them in as leading line rather than an exit, e.g. an upside down "U" in the original.
Hope that helps

Great shot CF. It is a little cropped at the bottom but perhaps you had to do that. The background blule is great, just a little flare at the bottom left, the colors of the leaves compliment the blue very nicely. So overall a very good shot, but I wish there was more of it shown
