    Views of Thanet.

First time I have been out with my DSLR that I bought last week. Canon 1000D 18-55mm kit lens. Been looking at getting a telephoto lens just because I really love photographing wildlife. Time to save up! Anyway, onto the photos, all were taken on a long walk from Ramsgate down through Pegwell Bay, UK:

This is my first post on the foums, hope it is Ok! Will critique a load of other pics as soon as I can. I have a lot of other pics from the same walk on my photostream if anyone is interested in looking and giving me more critique and guidance! Obviously I am only starting out with "serious" photography as I am sure you can tell from the composition of some of these pics, so any help is greatly appreciated, whether it is positive or negative.

My photostream can be found here

    Welcome to the forums!

Too many to critique at once as each has its own strong and weak points.
I will say that for me the second is the best photograph. I like the dominant in focus seed heads with the increasingly soft background.
    Keep Shooting!

The wheat stocks are the best of the bunch. Funny the contrast between the wheat pic and the industrial/ocean stuff. The lighting on wheat shot worked out well in this case. On the first one it seems a little too bright or blown out.
