    View from Ellis Island

I was starting to organize my photo files the other day and came across this from a trip to New York 2 years ago. Converted it to BW. Never do get very far organizing the photos, always seems like I come across something to re-do, or crop, or somethig. Anyway, comments or suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Phil G.

I like this a lot and the b/w works really well.
Only nitpick I have is that the arch is chopped at the top and the lower right corner of windows.
In this case those two things don't affect it too much .....nice!

aside from what frog said, i would like to see the statue alitte more seperated from the vertical window cross, and it might make it more obvious as a focal point that way to.

    Re: View from Ellis Island

I was afarid you'd say that about the placement of the Statute. My feeling as well. I think it would significantly improve the composition. Truth be told, I didn't realize it was in the picture until my wife pointed it out. I was just taking a "pattern" shot of the window. Well almost a great catch.

    Thanks all for the comments.
