The basketball hoop is my favorite. Its a great point of view. it would have been imo, better if you had someone pretending to shoot a 3 pointer from the other side, and having them in the shot as well. The others are very nice as well, I've never thought of taking a shot from above, I should try this as well. Very creative! Kudos!

Thanks Speeding. I mounted a tripod screw in top of a 5 ft. dowel using a cane tip. It's a lot of fun to play with. I also use it as a walking stick.

I have a monopod and I was going to give it a shot today! :-) Just have to find subjects to shoot on. :-)

Just pick anything. As the author of an article on photography once wrote (not a direct quote), the best way to find sujects is to get a new perspective on something familiar. He suggested taking photos from the top of a tall stepladder.

The last one doesn't go with the others, does it? It seems to me to be the gem of the bunch, unusual perspectives notwhithstanding. I think the thing to do next time you go out with your clever rig is to really look for situations where the "boom" perspective improves the photo. The closest you have to that here is the basketball hoop, I think, but not quite...

Don, interesting subjects. You have definitely captured different perspectives. Of these, I think #1 is my favorite. I like the converging lines of the telephone poles and the fence. I'm not sure about the right side of the photo though. It's and interesting contrast to the converging lines, but I'm not sure it works.
The hoop is interesting, but as with #1, I'm not sure where your leading lines (the walkway) are going. All in all a good effort.
I am currently working on my 3rd shot of my first assignment for NYIP which has to do with perspective. I am having some trouble coming up with ideas but your photos have sparked some interest in me.
Also, I have been trying to design a monopod for myself that I could use as a cane/walking stick and I really like your idea. I think I'll try something similar.
    Great job.
