    Vernal Falls, Yosemite

My family and I went to Yosemite for Spring Break this year. It was great to see the waterfalls at their best. I took this shot of Vernal Falls from the footbridge. Any comments are appreciated.

This is a nice picture. The only thing that disturbs me is the rock at the bottom left, as well as the fact that the image needed a slight color correction. I've taken the liberty of doing that and adding a border below.

I was in Yosemite last spring too, and it was great! Show us more!

    Re: Vernal Falls, Yosemite

I love Yosemite in the spring. I used to go there every year. Not many tourists, and the tourists that are there seem to really appreciate where they are. Sometimes there is snow, but it's never cold. Just wonderful.

That's a nice image erich. The slow shutter really worked well. I also like schrack's adjustments. The higher contrast really helps guide your eyes up the stream until you discover the falls.

    Yes..it was great.

Thanks for the inputs. I can see how the additional contrast and more blue gives it a better look.

Here's a closeup of the falls.

Yosemite is really great...I do wish there weren't so many people. I've heard King's Canyon and Sequoia National Park are less crowded so I will check those out next.

Lovely shots. Great depth and perception in the first one, and I love the extended shutter speed on the second one. Great shots and welcome to the boards!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm obviously new to this so I really appreciate it.

It's quite fun and I'm afraid I'm getting hooked on this as well as photography in general.
