Venice - a second set of photos

Hi all .. a second (and last!) set of photos I will post of my trip to Venice - believe me, the place is so incredibly photogenic that I could be posting from now to NEXT New Year!

The first is where the Gondolas are kept when not being used - a sort of "Gondola Car Park".

The second is of a painter I came across while wandering around. Venice has some 350 bridges, all within a space of 7 sq km, so you are always crossing over them to get from one place to another.

The third is a part of a large sculpture I came across (it was a whole head, lying sideways) and about 8 feet tall. I call this "Inscrutable". I have it in mind, maybe, as a club photograph.

As always, any comments are welcome, and are taken note of!

    Cheers
    Mike

    Mike,

I really like the tones that the light gives you in the statue, and the composition you have. I initially thought that more of the bottom lip was needed but I changed my mind quite quickly and like it as is.

The artist shot is excellent, colours, tones, composition. I would rotate it slightly to make the buildings or window on the left parallel to the frame, very minor critique.

I hate to say this but I have seen better versions of this shot. I think colour is spoiling it for me and it should be B&W.

I like the first 2 very much, especially the painter on the bridge. Both photos seem to be tilted or leaning to the left a bit though.

milhouse & readingr ... I agree that the wall needs adjusting on the left of the painter shot, and I have done that - the icture did present some problems in that the right hand side always did have to have weird verticals in order to keep his paints (on the floor) in the picture. But a little tweak on the left does improve it. Thanks as always.
