    Vacation is always an Anticlimax...

    Does this work? Or is selected desaturation not done..
    Besides that, is it interesting enough?

    I don't know. It's a weird image. I don't think the selective colour ads to it. The image itself is somewhat surreal and I think it can stand on its own with out the select. color. I think the problem with the photo is the softness. And the three band, shore, water, sky, are all a very light grey without any real contrast.

    Weird indeed.
    It is too soft, it looks like lens was dirty, it could use some contrast. And you should shoot it from behind, to make the line(sand/water) straight.
