The old Mechanical Eng building is reflected in the new EngCent entry.

The foreground looks so barren without some people...

Overall not bad, I just wish there was more to the sky.

This looks like an great spot to shoot some interesting architectual pattern shots. The mass of windows gives you a nice combination of reflection/see through light play, too.

I just think you chose the wrong time of the day to really squeeze out the potential of this setting. A building this dramatic would be better served with directional light of equal intensity. Perhaps late afternoon, or even dusk with a slight amount of artificial light popping in.

I also don't especially like the barren foliage holding such a prominent position in the composition...

Overall, a pretty good shot, though. If it were me, I'd go back to this spot and shoot a lot more.

The reflection is excellent, composition could be tighter to eliminate a lot of the less-than-exciting foreground. Colors are pleasant, but in need of some deeper colors/saturation. Looks like a great place for some abstract angles and close-ups.

I love the concept and execution(colors and comp)

the only distracting elements are the bit of building showing on the left hand side and the vertical lines of the building are a bit crooked....

other wise I think it's a fantastic shot...

O.k. THAT honestly made me queasy when I scrolled down...I know everyone would probably say up the saturation but I like the bright yet mellow colors...especially with all the steely metals involved it keps it cool despite a very warm and vibrant floor...did you mean to post it sideways? Or am I just seeing wrong?

This was taken a couple months ago and I don't remember for sure how I framed this in the camera but I think it was horizontal. I didn't think about displaying it vertically until after you asked. After looking at it both ways, it sure is more comfortable to look at it in a vertical presentation. I guess we like to see things with the floor clearly below the stuff hanging from the ceiling. I think I like the more stressfull horizontal display.

Thanks for asking about this. Do you think having stressful elements in a picture is a bad thing?

I like the stressed out version---I just wondered if you meant to post that way or whether it was shot that way.....

I like busy images if they work and I like this one...art is all a matter of perception.
