    Utah

Just returned from an incredible trip. For years I've wanted to head west and finally landed in Park City for a long week. The photo ops are just amazing. Within minutes on the highway the terrain can change dramatically.

While I'd love feedback on a ton of images, I'll post this one for now... a storm brewing over the La Sal's with a bit of Arches in view.

    Re: Utah

I like this shot. Has a bit of the old western feel to it. Looks like film rather than digital?

My only note would be that the highlights are a bit blown in the sky but a crop of the top of the image might help to reduce the noticeability somewhat.

I love this in the sepia tone. I agree, real 'old west' feel to it. The cropped version works better than the first one, I think too.

Well done on a great shot.
What a great little camera the Canon really is when it is in such capable hands.

    Re: Utah

I actually like the first one better. It doesn't look blown out on my monitor but that might just be me. I think leaving the sky in makes it look like there is a storm rolling in. I love the sephia tone too.

Very good shot! I like the composition and especially the different layers of the background. Thanks for sharing.

Same here! It doesn't seems blown out on my calibrated monitor and I much much (did I mentioned much?) prefer the original toning over the second version. Either way, this is fine photograph with a significant visual impact but I'd stick with the original version.

As usual very nice work, I too prefer the second shot. But both are beauties.

    Thanks all

After sleeping on it a night or two, I also am prefering the first rendition. I like the original tone and feel the ensuing storm is more prevelant.

Hmmm.. my linky's went wonky... here it is again:
