    Up Valley

Looking up the Kennecott or Kennicott or Kennycott valley toward the Root glacier. The Root glacier can be seen in the bottom of the frame.

    Re: Up Valley

You've captured some really nice light. Even at 800, this photo loses a lot and I'm glad I have a program to fill my screen with it.
Your exposure has caught as much or more dynamic range as an hdr could hope for.
I think you might want to crop out that top right cloud. Beautiful as the light on it is, it is more of a distraction to the scene.

Great color and outlines EOS. My only complaint here is that the ice leaning like it does makes the shot seem tilted. I would rotate it to straighten that out, see what you get. Incredible capture. What I missed when I was there :/

    Re: Up Valley

Thanks for the compliments, I am pretty sure this is pretty close to straight. The Glacier is moving down the valley from upper right to the lower left and then toward the camera. The gray rocks you see in the lower left are actually part of the glacier too. The glacier has pushed enough rocks and whatnot over it plus melted enough to reveal a huge moraine. The moraine covers probably 15 or more miles of the valley.
