The composition and balloon colors are great but the sky color is too bland. Could/did you shoot this with a polorizer-that should make the sky a lot stronger.
I didn't have a polarizer at the time I took this pic. I do know, and boy are those things pricey for the larger lenses!! I will try sharpening it. Thanks for the kind words.
Nice idea, I would find a better background if you can for the shot.
The cars, building, and the tree are a tad messy.
I might give this a try myself.

I would agree that the background is a problem here. You have these great colors with lots of light streaming in from behind, but then there's that big dark area in the bottom right corner.
Also, given the angle of the sun, I'm not sure that a polarizer would do much here. They're generally more effective at 90 degrees to the sun, not directly into it.
I agree 100% with the background suggestions. This was a bit earlier in my photography "career", and I wasn't taking the backgrounds into consideration, just the subjects.
