The front really pops out. I like the colors and the composition. Some may have an issue with the back being out of focus, but it does not bother me. I like it as is. If the subject was perfectly still, and your camera was on a tripod with a sliding rack, you have have also considered taking multiple focused shots and combining them in software later (focus stacking). I would have loved to see that as well.

    Re: untitled macro

    Thanks llewpics

This is a focus stack using the sigma 150mm macro lens
At this distance the maximum aperture was f5.6, closed it one stop to F/8
There are about 20 images to get that DOF

I used zerene stacker, the camera was on a tripod, the image size changes as the focus is adjusted but the software does compensate for the change in size among the different images, doing a fantastic job at it too

I actually like leaving some area out of focus, find the contrast between the sharp ares and the strong OOF areas quite interesting , that's my opinion

    Thanks again!

I might like it but can't tell.......I wish I could see it alone without the surroundings of the page...as in a wallpaper or big print

    Re: untitled macro

    Thank you...that works much better.

I'm not sure why you chose your focal points and not probably what I would have done but I do like the softness and bokah throughout
