    untitled landscape

Sorry, but I just can't think of what to call this one.

Please let me know what you think.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Re: untitled landscape

Very pretty colors. It is missing a strong subject, but it almost doesn't need one. If it were wider I would say that the isolation and vacant feel of the image would be the subject. In vertical format, it seems to require some sort of subject however... maybe a rabbit starring at you from the thickets.

    Call it "Too Blue."

I'm thinking this one will look much better blown up large. As it is there isn't enough detail in the mid-ground to balance the foreground. Still, I like it.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: untitled landscape

Thanks for the comments, guys. I appreciate the feedback. I was going for a simple composition with this one, but I agree that it could use a little something more in the foreground. I was hoping the one almost spherical clump of grass in the bottom right would provide some interest, but it didn't show up as distinctively as it appeared to me at the time. I'm not happy with the way the sky scanned either. In the original slide there was more pink in the clouds which gave them more form. This is pretty colorful, but the slide looks better. I need to work on my scanning skills.

    Thanks,
    Paul

Nice landscape but maybe the midgound from alittle lack of sharpness and the foreground seems a bit purpley.
It would look great with a dramatic sky I feel if revisited in early morning/evening.

    Hi

Some time ago I shot something bit similar - look at the two pictures below. The second picture was taken at the early sunset. Many grasses on both of them.

Ps. Don't feel angry about comparing your picture with my picture number 1 in this thread.
Of course my pictures don't have the colours of your picture has but the landscape is quite simliar. I simply often meet similar landscapes. Below another and last example:

Sorry, I don't really lke those colors but that's just me I guess. I agree some other element would help but nicely composed as is.

Paul, I like the composition and subject but agree with Frog. More natural colors here and you have a very nice landscape.

    Re: untitled landscape

Paul, there is alot of blue/purple cast on this. Try some coor balance adjustment. I like the subject but i think panning the camera down a bit more to have nore of the swirling grass and bring the horizon up a bit more from center.

green_me and chaman, I know your intent is well and sincere, but please do not post your own images on another members thread for discussion.
