    Untitled

Caught this beautiful bird this morning hopping around on the tree in my front yard. Not sure what it is, but I hope my portrayal and Photoshopping is to your liking.

    Ken,

Was this cropped? Seems a little grainy/digitally zoomed in for my liking. You have a nice range of colors, including the bark, the bird, and the twigs (?) on the right. I like the potential for this, but the grainy/zoomed in feeling I'm getting from it just doesn't jive for me.

Great potential though just a few problems,

    Jared

Hi Jared...Thanx for the comments...Yes...this is a crop...I can't see the digitization that you are speaking of...but I don't trust my monitor so I always want others opinions on these kinds of things...I really think it is time I get a new monitor or at least a calibration unit. Also, some of this may be water spots that I couldn't see as I was shooting through a very badly waterstained window. I had hoped to ps most of it out.
The bird is right at the base of the tree and that is branches of a new tree that is just sprouting...we cut it every year but thats a pretty hearty tree.
I will lessen the crop and hope that gets rid of some of the grain...again...thanx for your comments...

Thanx YS...wow...a BlueJay...hmmm...is it a young one. Most of the Jays in this area are about twice the size of this guy and of course have the pointed tuft on their head. Sorry about the focus, but like I said to Jared...I was shooting through a very water stained window. Been too cold to get out and wash it. hehe...I did try to PS most of it out...hope it's not too distracting.
