Unexpected Fall Visitor

I thought the Gulf Frittilary were gone for the year but this fellow paid my garden a visit today. We haven't had Fall yet and it sure doesn't feel like Thanksgiving.

stunning. The DOF and color both work perfectly, I like how half of the subject is in focus.

The background is perfect too, not boring or unnatural and not at all distracting.

Thanks for the comments guys. I guess I should have explained myself when I said I wasn't sure if the shot worked. It is as sharpened as it gets without getting really noisy/pixcelated. It was windy, the butterfly was jumping about, this is as good as I could get it.
