    Don, your style keeps growing on me!
    The bleak landscape in the first makes me cold just looking at it.
    I like the second one best. I think of a poor family that still has Christmas spirit per the decorations of which I keep finding new ones. The b/w works well here to give that feeling even though most want to see color decorations, keeping them b/w adds to the ambviance.

    That cabin is a heritage site--no one lives in it. The decorations were contributed by school kids. Thanks Frog

    For the train image I think you have the top of the fence too close to the centerline of the frame, perhaps a crop from the top. I wouldn't crop from the left or right because I like the imbalance of the fence posts.

    The tree in the upper left of the second image bothers me, I would like this one a whole lot more without it.
    No, I DON'T need that.
