Seb, i would have to say that I find this to be the least interesting of the entire series. I feel the door is a good subject, but it just does not look well in this point of view . I think there is too much in this image offered up. I also feel the green border is not helping either. I'm wanting more mood in the lighting here, as it just seems to evenly and well lit. Just my honest op on this.

Gary, the border was bad taste. lol I dunno what I was thinking about when I put it. Looking back at it after the night I just said to myself "urrghhh". (well you get the point)
About the lighting, it is fairly bright and even. Actually, I turned the lighting down in post processing but that was probably not enough.
About the comp, have you any suggestion for a crop or you feel that this is plain failed?
I dunno Seb, maybe it's just me, but I can't get excited about this one. Too much door----not enough door???? Hard to say. Perhaps a different angle and a title like "Behind the green door" or "What lies beyond?".....certainly something to suggest mystery. JMHO. It's been a great series though
John
Yes, looks better without the border. I have been thinking about some crops, but i just don't think any of them would improve. right off the bat , though, I do not feel the greenish tones in the image are a adding anything positive and a b&w version should add something to this.
Gary and John, thanks a lot for your feedback. Quite frankly, I have a problem with this picture. I understand your comments wet I can't help coming back to the image. I just like it despite its flaws (talk about a lack of critical distance lol). Anyway, the point is that your comments are most useful to help me evaluate what works and what doesn't from an external point of view.
