Unhappy Two high noise night shots I'm really unsure of

Both shots taken last night with @ ISO 100 w/ 3sec exposure each and in their original condition are absolutely horrible due to noise and hot pixels (so much so, it has me thinking it's about time to upgrade bodies) Spent easily over an hour trying to save each, and just don't know if I'd call the (major) surgery a success or not. Thoughts?

    First Picture.
    Camera Make: FUJIFILM
    Camera Model: FinePixS2Pro
    Image Date: 2009:08:12 20:27:18
    Flash Used: No
    Focal Length: 118.0mm (35mm equivalent: 177mm)
    CCD Width: 4.30mm
    Exposure Time: 3.000 s
    Aperture: f/11.0
    ISO equiv: 100
    White Balance: Auto
    Metering Mode: Matrix
    Exposure: program (Auto)

I would tell you to drop ISO to 100 But as I look at the exif data I already see it is at a 100.
Are you shooting in fine mode or normal mode?
You could try going to either an ISO 400 or 800 with an F/5.6 or an F/8 should help some.

Other than this I have no idea.
    Just giving Ideas.

EDIT: I like them both, But I see what you mean about the noise, Not as crisp as you would of liked.
Feel Free to edit my photos, However please explain what you did to them.

jetrim, I'm also loving that first one. The noise, although not desired by you especially when not intentional is adding to this for me. I like it a lot.
That is quite a bit of noise at iso 100, but you could try some NR software but I'm really likingit noise and all.

The first one rocks,Jetrim.A perfect example of exploitation of chance effects. Love the "surrealness"
    Nice work!

The first is pretty good but the noise and pixels IS a problem for me too.
So much of it, I don't know if anything can remove it. Go back and use your slr, forget which one you use.

the first one is a strong image, almost looks like a painting. you should try and sell it to the owners there :-) the 2nd one doesn't do much for me. because it's mostly black with the interesting areas being so minimal.

The effect around the building itself, especially the windows is great but I feel the huge flush of red passing traffic at the bottom is a bit overpowering in this instance.

Re: Two high noise night shots I'm really unsure of

Thank all of you for your many comments. I'm really surprised how well the first shot was received! to give you an idea of how it started out, here's a 100% crop out of the camera showing the noise and hot pixels (I chose this section because it's less "busy" but is very representative of the whole image)

Overbeyond, I also have this with less taillight motion blur, and no cars passing at all.
Frog, this WAS shot with the SLR ~ hence my initial dismay.
Gary, tried NR first but it just made everything very muddy - like a bad watercolor painting
Icicle, I may go back and reshoot a little earlier in the evening - I'll keep your setting suggestions in mind and try altering a few different variables to see if it helps

I like everything about the first one.
But, on my monitor, it seems to suffer the dreaded jaggies.
That is a lot of hot pixels.

Re: Two high noise night shots I'm really unsure of

jim - the first one has nice vibrant colors and some interesting stuff. I have used some noise reduction sw (neat image I think) that helps. Buy the ideal situ is a more modern camera, if you feel it's time to expend the bucks. My nikon D200 has a lot of settings that help w noise, so make sure yours doesn't also before you pull the trigger.
