    Two Dancers at the Piano

My little one at my inlaws' piano...the two dancers being her & the one actually on the piano.

Re: Two Dancers at the Piano

Em - Good shot. A little too dark behind her I think, and maybe not enough light or not the best angle of her face. But, it is a nice candid and one worth PSing a little to see what else you can get. I would zoom in so to crop out the unimportant parts of the photo like the bottom 1/4 of the shot, etc. Since the dark areas are what I consider the weakness of the shot, just crop them out, see if a tight box around her would work.

You can almost hear her playing BTW...........

What was your WB set on? Sometimes you can change that and get a brighter picture...

I'm not sure...I do seem to have issues with darker pics on here though, so I'll check that.

Re: Two Dancers at the Piano

This is a really sweet picture Emily. I agree with GB about the crop, If it were mine I would crop to just under the legs of the piano on the bottom and just behind the rear most leg of the bench. The tungsten lighting adds to the mood for this one, I like it for it's warmth, but you might also want to try a sepia tone conversion, since it's most of the way there anyway, just to see what you think. There are many lovely elements at work in this one Em, not the least of which is Sophia.

Thanks for your suggestions and thoughts on this, Cindy...I have a couple different crops I did based on what you all suggested. Also, I had gotten another shot with her in a slightly different pose.

    1. Tightest crop...I don't care as much for this one.
    2. Better crop.
    3. Sepia of better crop.
    4. Different pose.
