    Twio Sisters Garden - New Orleans

    Just something I like but think it might be too dark. Comments and critiques welcomed suggestions cheerfully explored but please don't download and edit my images.

    Actually now that I see it here it looks bright. Hmmm... time to recalibrate. . .

    I agree with Don. Might try putting a blue graduated layer over the sky as it's really flat as it is, but the rest is just beautiful!

    Lovely scene, nice composition. I really love that there is one light pole on the right and non on the left. It breaks up the symmetry quite nicely.

    I agree about the sky being overblown. If you decide to go the Jetrim way and add a blue sky, don't forget the reflection in the pool.

    Ha! I wondered if someone would notice the light pole. Thanks Liban! I usually don't like to fake my circumstances. New Orleans is a hazy place and the sun is just setting behind the building.

    Personally I think HDR has lured too many photog editors into the land of "Have my cake and eat it too". For those of us who choose to capture the details in the light we are given it's just going to be that way. An ND filter would have been the trick but I didn't have one with me, fill flash would have worked too, in fact, I'm surprised I didn't do one as an opt. I almost always CYA I'll have to go back and check the folder.

    It was vacation and my cousin was performing at a concert in this garden and it was really a grab shot - not anything contemplated. But I like that suggestion of a blue grad filter, I'm not certain of my skills to make it happen with any real success, but I'll give it a crack when I get a sec. and post it if it pans out.

    Really dig the reflections and the detail of the lily pads! And agree that something needs to be changed about the sky? but i'm just not sure what... this image really captures my attention!

    Stunning =)

    I have to agree that a graduated filter would of helped, as the sky is just not there. Photoshop some sky with clouds? The image looks a little flat from an overcast sky?
