    Re: Tuesday walkabout.....

The composition of the 1st, 3rd, and last shot is very good. Very clear and crisp as well.
The 2nd one has too many distractions next to the subject such as the long thorny branch underneath and harsh lighting.
The 4th is ok but I wish there were a little more room on the left side so the tree has a place in the scene rather than just something that was in the way. . .

    Re: Tuesday walkabout.....

I really like the first shot, nice deep colors, #2 not so sharp or enough DOF, probably needed a tripod if you weren't using one?, or a macro lens. #3 doesn't call for me to say something, if you know what I mean. #'s 4 & 5 could have been good by doing a panoramic; say 1 extra shot either side. Re: Tuesday walkabout.....

In the last photo I want a vertical format so there is more color in the trees and in the reflection in the water.

The first image is the one that works the best for me-nice strong colors.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: Tuesday walkabout.....

After seeing the first the others seem very bland in comparison: not strong enough colors, composition a bit off...etc.

Can't really add anything to what has already been said... so yeah, the first one is just great.

Very nice place though.... I would take a stroll every day there...
