    Trip to the lake
let me know what you think....

(for the night shot, i didnt have a tripod, and had to use a table so please excuse the fuzzy look. i just thought it looked kinda cool)

(and for the toddler picture, i couldnt get him to stop crying, so i thought "well maybe i should just take his picture instead)

    Godfather,
#1...love the colors, but you need to crop off (or clone out/blend) that vertical distraction on the right side. Nice shot.

#2...flower looks out of focus, although your composition is good.

#3...I don't like that you clipped the wingtips of the gull. Good capture, though.

#4... I'm thinking the tears make this look a little soft. But then again my eyes ain't what they used to be.:p

The bird is the best one here. Too bad his wings are clipped. The kid's eyes are OK too but too soft and maybe zoomed in too far. Time to get a vibration reduction lens if you can't carry a tripod.

The bird is the one for me too. I don't mind that the wing tips are out of the frame, I find it to be a fresh look at a familiar subject.

    thanks guys...

GB1...i do have one, sadly it was all the way back inside (and i really didnt want to move) :)
so i just sat it on a table and set the timer...

addies: ha, i just started laughing when i read yours b/c your 100% right, i dont know what i was thinking :mad2:

for some reason i love taking pictures of seagulls (even though they basically are rodents) i still like them. That bird was with all of his buddies about 100 yards off shore eating some fish that we just cleaned, and then 3 eagles came swooping in and the 15 or so seagulls flew away pretty quickly. (it was kinda funny watching 3 birds chase away 15)....

All of these were taken in Northern Minnesota, which is probably my favorite place to be,, Great fishing, on hot days laying out, having a few beverages :D, swimming, and in my opinion one of the best areas for nature photography
