    A trip to Dublin

I haven't been on this site in such a long time, how rude of me.

Anyway, here's a picture I took in Dublin a week or two ago. Personally I'm not really fond of the sky, and I also think it's much better when viewed full size, but oh well, let me know what you guys think.

I agree with you about the sky. If it weren't so black and white I think it would work better. Do you have a version where there is more gray tones in the sky. You have so much beautiful detail in the church lying in the middle values, but none in the sky.

the edit is beautiful. the black sky just looked overprocessed. The building is now seperated a little better than before.

I like the second one best. The biggest thing that bothers me is the white cloud? on the left. It is so white it almost looks like a torn photo. I might would try and clone some sky in on that side?

Jeff, the sky is better in this and sets up the subject better.I agree with Greg about the white cloud in the left side. i would like to see the base of the lamp post and more street in this shot. Pehaps standing much further away and compressingthe scene with a telephoto lens would work and also reduce some of the distortion.
good subject and it has an ominous feel to it.
