    Trio

I posted all of these on the nature board, but would appreciate your thoughts and comments -- especially on the contrast. I have a new monitor and I'm not sure if they woudl look right on someone else's screen.

All shots from yesterday witha D70 and Sigma 50-500mm.

    Re: Trio

L.L., the first 1 looks a little flat, the 2nd 1 looks very flat, but the third look perfect on my moniter.
I downloaded the first 2 and tweaked the levels by masking off the duck and making adjustment on just the water, then inverted the selection and adjusted just the duck. I did the same with the 2nd 1, masking the bird and trunk, adjusting bg, invert and adjust bird and trunk.
The results look pretty good to me but the whites on the duck are a bit too bright and the throat of the bird burned out when I adjusted so some more masking should work.
    All three are very nice,
    Mark.

They all look very sharp - however I see what Mark is saying about 1 and 2. Are these enlarged from a small picture in the full frame they seem to have that effect. However 1 the duck dies pop but the water needs to be dulled down a bit to make the bird jump out at you.

2 the bird needs to be selected and then some more saturation applied to make it pop

    3 just print it.

    Good shooting
