    Treetops

Yet another older shot that I pulled out of my files to check out... I like it, but I dont know what too many other people think on shots like this. What do you think? I have more similar ones from the same shot, but I think this was the best. Little editing has been done to this.

You know Dave, if you cropped this just right, it would look like an angiogram.

The pattern is very inspiring. I think B&W is a good choice. I also have a creepy feeling when viewing the shot. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments, and this is actually a color photo (with very little color). It was a cloudy day, but not foggy. I was sitting at the base of the tree when I looked up and took the shot, as I do now and then with trees. I'll be keeping this one.

Hmm.. I think it would work well if it were fall and those trees were covered with bright, colorful leaves. It could work as a haunting type shot, but to me there's just too much sky poking through.

Keep this place/composition in mind for Oct!!!

That would work very well. They are birch trees, and I could do a similar shot like that in many places. However, I do know exactly where I took that... a few miles up a trail in the hills, next to a waterfall.

I like this one. I like the feeling of height. It could be creepy with a darker sky.

you could make an amazing series out of these trees. if you had the opportunity, you could go back at each season, early spring when they bud, summer when they are full, fall when they are in color, and this could be your winter shot...

that would be an amazing composition. just my thoughts though. i like this photo a lot, brings us back into prospective of where we are in the world.

That's a good idea. I've already just about done that with two other shots of mine and it's really cool to look back and see them all together and see the difference. I'll think about the idea with this shot, and would do it right away of only it weren't so far away for these exact trees.
