    Tree Silhouette

Took this on a hike today. The horizon could use some straightening I think..

    Other thoughts?

Sky seems a bit noisy. Great positioning of the sun.

The hallo around the tree and along the horizon is a bit obvious , this could have been effected by sizing for web.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos

Wow, that is...weird. The sun and its flares are so clear and perfect through the tree that it looks unreal.
Very cool shot, but it seems un-natural to me, but thats just my opinion.

I like it. I wouldn't to anything to change it.

Thanks guys, I think that halo-effect is from re-sizing for web view. I didn't do anything really to the sky except boost the contrast a bit. I used a c-polarizer at shooting.

As far as the sun-flare not being "real" looking, I did remove some green lens flares underneath it with the clone tool. So I guess in that way it isn't total reality. The green flares were pretty prominent though,,,

Dont get me wrong, i am not suggesting you photoshopped the sun in there or something. Its a well positioned shot, its just not my taste i guess .

With your aperture that small you probably could have opened up the exposure a bit without blowing everything out. The darkness stands out way too much for me.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Here is a different version where i didn't push the contrast and blues as much, which eliminates a lot of that halo'ing effect and I lightened up some of the areas. I think it looks more natural...
