Tree. . .B&W (marine park nature preserve)

Here is a tree that I thought had a lot of visual appeal. Shot with Fuji Reala 100 and converted to b&w in Jasc psp8. Tamron19-35 zoom at about 22mm, and tripod
    Comments appreciated. . .

That is impressive! That's living room material, imo. I like it.

I like this composition very much... the branch on the left looks 3d, as if it's reaching toward me. Very cool! How does the color version look? (it looks great in B&W!)

    Gary,

I like this very much... it does seem a bit too contrasty imo, and those extra branches on the left are kind of distracting, but those are merely nitpiks, as I think this is a great shot. It's almost like the tree is a hand reaching out. Good job with this.

You know, even I thought it was a bit dark and contrasty as well. This is an ever so slightly lightened edit replaced . Thanks for the feedback

This looks better... it's still contrasty, but now it adds to the image. This is definitely living room material... I know I'd hang it in mine. *smile*

    Very Nice

very appealing work of art... that's all...I like the contrast as well very moody but not somber...very nice indeed.

I like this one a lot. The shape of the tree, along with the empty space leading up to it frame the piece nicely. Even the background trees and grasses don't distract, but add to this particular shot. Don't think I'd change anything.

Gahspidy, sometimes there are images I only have one comment on:

    "well done!"

Thanks for all your thoughts on this. . . .the positive feedback is very encouraging.
I have been doing alot of shoots in this Nature Preserve since the winter. It is a great little treasure in Brooklyn,N.Y that was developed and put together just a few years ago. Once you walk in you feel like you have left the city for a while.
