    Trapped

Not sure what quite inspired this. Was sitting, watching TV this morning and looked over at the window, grabbed the Yashica, and just started messing around. Any thoughts?

    Re: Trapped

Hi Aaron ... I like the first one much more than the others. You have kept a little detail in the person, rather than just present him as a silhoette. I think it's stronger like that. Also, him peeping out through the blinds invites the viewer to see a story in it: what is he looking at? Waiting for the mail? Curious about a neighbour? Seeing if the coast is clear? I like pictures that are "open ended" in that kind of way.

    Cheers

    Re: Trapped

Thanks Mike I would like to say that the complete silhouette was intentional but, was more a case of misjudging the exposure in the given lighting I still kinda liked how it came out though. Probably should have cleaned up the crops a bit before posting them now that I look at them again

    Re: Trapped

I agree with Mike, the first one is the best in my opinion and the little bit of detail helps the shot.

    Hey Aaron,

I really love the first image. I think you hit it right on! I don't mind that the inside doesn't have any details. I think the darkness emphasizes what you were trying to portray here. Really nice shot!

    Re: Trapped

Nice expts. I like the first one the best, seems to show both the person AND the distant environment. I might try a few crops of it and see what happens.. There might be too much negative space as is. But that depends on what you like.

    Re: Trapped

    Thanks G and Liban

G, I'll have to give this another shoot with it framed tighter. Trying to get used to catching what I want straight out of camera, rather than cropping. Or at least that's what I want to try and do for a little while as an "exercise". I'll play around with the lighting some more as well.

    Thanks again everyone

    Re: Trapped

The first one is perfect and needs nothing. It beats out the others due to the composition and position of figure.

    Re: Trapped

Aaron, I like the first because it has less "aggressiveness" or rather anger... expresses the title much better in my opinion....

The other 2 work for me too.... maybe the word i was looking for was frustration which is apparent in the second and third.

One thing i think is bothersome is the white dots of light in all three!! Just need to clone them out!

All in all though... |'ll agree with everyone and say the first is the best!

    All the best!

The first one I feel is by far the best of the series. But then the first one looks like your waiting of you over due "____".
