    Re: the train watchers

    Hello Shawn
Technically sound but i feel had this shot included the little girl only it would be far more interesting. Somehow I just feel the very tall boy is out of proportion and his stance does not help.
Well taken shot all the same.

Red face Re: the train watchers

Hmm I think B&W would have looked better.

    Re: the train watchers

I think it would have been better if the bridge and the kids were all in the same focus. Also i am not a fan of the way the people are standing there .

    Nice colors and composition

    Re: the train watchers

thanks for the critiques guys, i do like the b&w idea I might have to look into that, as far as the way they were standing i would have liked to get some different poses, but they werent posing it was just a shot of people acting natural so couldnt do much their, thanks again for the critques again.

    Re: the train watchers

Shawn, the colors are great in this. The red stands out beautifully, especially the shade of the little girl's dress. I don't have a problem with both kids being in the picture, though I do like the idea another person mentioned of having just the girl there.
One thing that would help the out of focus railing towards the bottom of the picture would be to maybe crop it right up to where the ramp begins...like a third of an inch under the boy's shoes. It would balance things a bit better too.
I would have liked this even more had the boy also been looking in the direction the girl is...but I also like this as it stands.

    Re: the train watchers

I'm with Tom on this in that I think this shot is technically sound, but lacks the right "moment" in time. I like the dof in this image alot. The rail in front is fine, and the blurred bg really gets these subjects popping out nicely.
