    Train suspension-bridge

Does this do anything for you? Shot approximately two months ago.

    Attachment 63904
Panasonic FZ7K, Kenko polarizer filter, Velbon CX-540 tripod
    1/250 second @ F4.0
    ISO 80
    36mm (35mm equivalent)
    Multi-segment metering mode
Full manual ("M" on mode dial)

Thoughts appreciated, as always... and feel free to criticize.

    Re: Train suspension-bridge

I like the shot but the blown out section to the left holds my eye too long. It definitely takes away from the rest of the shot which is nicely composed and well thought out.

I would probably have shot this one about 2/3 to a full stop faster shutter and maybe at ISO 100 instead of ISO 80. Should still have kept details in the dark spaces and either eliminate or greatly reduce the blown out area.

I like the sky and the perspective. I wish the train were on the centre right. Thanks for sharing.

Love the composition but that sky is just too overwhelming imho.
I think it is well worth a re-shoot if you have that option.

Thanks for the excellent feedback, guys.

    Yoyo –
Good point there about the train's placement, I agree.

Were you trying to keep some detail in the bridge and the train? I guess it's hard to expose, but worthy of a re-shoot! Maybe even a night shot!

Great perspective and comp. I'm not big an adding frames though, takes away from the shot. S

Yes, I was trying to get some detail in the bridge/train while trying to keep some sky too. Digital sensors unfortunately do not have much latitude, unlike certain films.

I'll see if I can re-shoot, nighttime might make some interesting shots.
