Train Engine

I wish it was a longer train, not this small one, but I like it none the less

The guy in the red cap, is fairly old and was limping in the middle of the tracks, I was getting quite anxious watching through the 200mm lens, as it is difficult to gauge distances, the train already seem a few meters from him while he continued as he was, eventually made his way to the side.

While I was shooting I had the camera in aperture priority and the headlights were throwing off the exposure, many came out very dark,and did not notice until the train was gone , one good reason to measure once and then use manual exposure.

Decent shot, Armando. Nice color, good composition. I think the guy in the shot is OK though some may feel it would better w/o people. I also think that it would be so much better if it were in more of an 'historic' setting: that is, if that building was Victorian style, and the fellow was wearing a suit. I like the slightly hazy conditions.

I like it. Nice colors and composition. One small detail you might should clone the brick. My eye keeps getting drawn to it.

On my afternoon trip into Lowell today, I noticed something as soon as we pulled into North Station. There was a fairly long freight train on the main line in the station. long for a MA freight train anyway There were 4 engines on the train, with the last one being an MBTA engine.

Was this being taken someone to be worked on? Or is the MBTA renting equipment?

Nice mood. I might have tried to stop down a bit to try and get the head lights to star a bit. The reds don't bother me. The brick, meh maybe, not a big deal. Perhaps crop the bottom so that the rail itself exits through the lower right corner instead of the ties. That might also take the gravel on the lower left that is leading toward the left corner out of the composition and the entire image would flow left to right. That crop to me helps minimize the distracting influence of the brick, which I would leave simply because I prefer not to remove elements if I can avoid it.
