I really like how he intersects with all the converging lines. It's almost as if he's being suspended there by them all, especially since he has a lean going on. Great photo. The only thing I could say that would make it better is if you upped the contrast a bit, it would make everything pop and seperate a bit more.

    Thanks!

Bumped the contrast a bit...I tend to try and not process my files too much but I notice most people "like" the more saturated and contrasty images on the web, they pop more for 'em I guess.

I like the contrasted version better.

The only other 2 comments I'd make is that I wouldn't center the rider in the picture and I wouldn't have the horizon so close to center.

    Nice shot.

Thanks for the comments DS and LJ.

    Interesting about the contrast.

For the re-posts I decided to lower the horizon a bit because I like all the clouds converging into the horizon too much to get rid of them. The foreground trail and grass I could sacrifice although, for a mountain biker being able to see the singletrack trail is nice.

The rider is already just a bit off center towards the left because I want to retain the colors on the right.

In the 1st re-post I pulled the rider far left. The 2nd re-post is more centered. The 3rd a bit more left. The 4th even more left. And the 5th is left plus a much lower horizon.

I like symmetry a lot and it's tough to break that pattern but I see how it can help.

    #1 - far left.

    #2 - more centered.

    #3 - a bit more left.

    #4 - even more left.

#5 - left plus a much lower horizon.
