the red brick color is stunning, and the sky turned out perfectly, but my eye wanders all over this picture wondering what to rest on. the horizontal lines in the brick and the building lead my eye out away from the building and into the sky. and the sky, although a perfect color of blue, doesn't contain anything particularly needy of my attention.
maybe you can hone in on the top of the "spire". it's paint is two tone because of an earlier attempt at restoration. i'm not sure what else to suggest on this one.
I like your composition, I think that you framed this well. I'd personally crop a slight slice at the bottom to loose the horizontal line in the center of the lower left window. Also, I think that the picture could use some perspective correction as the windows all appears to tilt. But, these are simply details as I find your framing to be fundamentally good.
I think that I'd like to see the same picture with a more dramatic lighting, perhaps at sunrise or sunset if possible.
What I love about this is how fairytale like it is. It looks like a turret of a castle in the air. All you need is Rapunzel's tresses flowing out of the top window! The colors are just so rich, too.

What an imagination you have D! I never thought of it like that. Thanks for looking/commenting.
Points taken Seb, thanks.
dmizer, thanks for your thoughts. This is part of a practice I have been working on. The point of the practice is to work on composition, and emphasize shapes/details.
