Good sharpness Emily. A tad bright in the yellow, but not too bad.

Thanks...and hey! I had no idea your name was Greg... I've always thanked you as GB1 in the past...hehe.

The light was REALLY bright that day...I have a bunch of others from this park, and I was kind of disappointed, but oh well. Thanks again!

It's hard to go wrong with images of children. You might want to consider burning in on the back side of her yellow dress to bring in the detail. She looks like she's having a great time.

i love the expression, and the angle showing her ahead of the turtle in the bacround also the beat up horse really makes this one for me

I knew I'd slip up sooner or later.. So now you have something on me eh?

That's how the light is in Cali all the time btw, esp when you're not right at the coast. Challenging ...

Now that's a funny pic Emily!
It really does look like she is racing the tortoise with the wind blowing her hair.
It's a shame you couldn't have got a bit more of her in frame though.
    Great pic nonetheless

Jim B & mondo...thanks for your comments on this... I appreciate the feedback! Jim B...I'll experiment a bit with burning on the dress, since that is a bit brighter than I intended.

And haha G(reg)! Yeah, it's been pretty much like that here in VA too.

Oops, sorry Alison...you must have posted at the same time as me!

Thanks for your thoughts as well. I was regretting that also, not having her whole body in the shot.

I hate to be the party breaker but I can't help thinking that the tortoise is too close from your daughter, it almost look stuck to her back somehow. I really like your basic idea though. Shooting the very same scene from a slightly different angle would do the trick for me.

Well, he's catching up to her...:P

Hehe...in all seriousness...thanks for your thoughts on this. More than likely I WILL have the chance to sort of set this up again. This park is pretty close by, and when the weather's a little cooler, I'm sure we'll get over there more frequently.

    Thanks again!
