#1 - like the pose, the look and the negative space. Don't know about the reflection/shadow??? Don't think the black eyes are necessary. - Terry

I really love the lighting and the use of negative space. It's a great technique to isolate the subject. My one comment is that she is overacting in all the shots, like she was told to act tormented (i do come from an acting background, which makes me more sensitive to this issue, it may not bother others so much.).

thanks Terry. I am experimenting on a new flooring... buying white seamless all the time is getting expensive... a tileboard is easy to maintain. I like the reflection a lot too. It's also good in other applications and concepts.

The smeared eye shadow( I think) shows drama and adds to the look of being depressed, tormented, and goind crazy.

    thank you.
that is precisely what I was doing... isolating the subject.

The model is actually a model...not an actress. lol.. she was trying to act... I guess she needs to get acting lessons. Or should I get an actress for this type of shoot. Good actresses in Model Mayhem are hard to come by. lol

thank you armando. We were shooiting this outdoors using a portable studio ... at night.

I was using 6 strobes for this shoot.

    Re: tormented

You seem to be blending two different looks here, sex and uh, hell, so to speak. It looks almost like shes both 'tormented' and trying to seduce the viewer. I think the combination is unbelievable. I'd like to see a more realistic wardrobe that is maybe more casual, or, something, and so shes not both going through hell and showing off those excellent butt cheeks. The last pose, for example, is a totally provocative pose completely, except her mouth, eyes and make-up. I think its important to find a way to make the body say 'tormented' as well, and stop distracting us with the butt and thighs. The smeared makeup also seems to be implying that she was crying, but as the only visible sign of tears it seems completely pretend, no red eyes and no tears.

lol..... it's a glamor shoot too... so the model cannot help but show some parts. And the model will never agree on making her ugly in this shoot. She is a model not an actress obviously. I also wanted to maintain that essence in the glamor shoot and add drama to it.

    Re: tormented

they are all amazingly captured. love the high key on 'glamourish' photogrpahy, to nit pick though, this was supposed to be tormenting, i somehow wish they were darker images. something about the high glamour look and the torment that's not jiving with me. I kind of expected it to be a dark setting with parts of the model in the light. But i guess the unexpected can also work.

oh.. I like commenting first then reading what others have wrote, and i think this point has already been covered :P

oh wait again. i think my comment was slightly different than Anbesols, though similar topics.
