John, I gotta say i like what you did here. Great creativity. These are all pretty good. My only criticism is with the cheerleaders. I do not care for the effect around the girl up front and would rather see her whole in the pic with the other girls in the bg as they are. when i say whole, i do not mean down to her feet, but just as she would be with the frame, without the effect.
Good work, no time killed here.
Gary, believe me I really toyed with the idea of showing more of the single cheerleader, and I think the edge effect I used on her took some of that away, so I'll agree with you here. Maybe I'll give it another go.

Great. i also meant to add that I think you should crop off the top off the cheerleader pic as well.
I would like to see that image again if you re edit it. I think it is very strong in the dream-like look of it and the expression on their faces.
This version is not working well for me. The original one posted I feel is better. I like the softness you had of the front girl in the first one, and the loss of the third cheerleader in the bg takes away as well. I do see now what it is your dealing with and with the front girls hair flying as it is, it is tough to cleanly cut her and place in the composite. What if you did it the same way as the original posted image but move the front girl down in the frame so instead of fading out she would be cut off by the frame? Actually, this really isa not a critique but rather personal suggestion. Others on the board may find the original great as it is,
Funny thing Gary, I went to redo this, and had completely forgotten which filter I had used for the first one. Seeing as how I was pretty tired when I did the redux, I gave way to the 'hurryups'. I will take my time later on and repost another. I'll do several different versions.
Ha .. I sort of liked the first cheerleader shot the best I definitely think the graduating border should be soft and not as harsh as the one in the 'redux' post. I like her shot, sort of like "I wish I was into this as much as I thought I'd be", or maybe "Hey that guy's cute. Let's see if I can make him notice me" (ha ha ha...)
GB thanks...the more I played with this, the more I liked the softness of the border around the cheerleader herself. There are a lot of ways to go with this, and I'm happy to see that the subject has created some interest. I really like the creative side of working in post processing, as I think the more I view my own work, the more mundane it becomes to me. I've been working on various baseball card designs that I can have processed into wallet size for the players next year. I did that for the SWM Devil Rays this year, and each player got one, and signed one for me. Usually by the time the team card sets are out, half the team is gone, so they really liked them, and I may be the only fan with a 'complete' autographed set. An extremely limited edition of 1
John, of the last three posted, #2 is my pick. I think it is very good and stronger than all the rest . I only would like to see the front girl diffused into that dream-like quality that you captured in the first post, but keep the cropping, position, border and everything else for that matter, the same.
