I would say that the top two or three rows of vertical back-lit material are blown out a little bit. You can tell by the the difference in the golden framing between blocks. On the ceiling, where the back-lit material is properly exposed, the framing is clear and vivid. In the area I'm describing, the framing is getting overtaken by the white light from the material. Also, you can see a little bit of that to the right of the Bulgari logo as well.
And so in general, because one part of the frame is noticeably brighter than the rest, my eye tends to get drawn to that portion of the frame (right side), even though the main subject is on the left. Just needs a tad faster shutter speed and/or some Highlight & Shadow work.
I do like the composition and the colors very much though.
I took it into photoshop to play with it a little, and i did think it looked a little better with darker (using Highlight/shadows) as mentioned above. However, the light on the right is still way blown out, and I couldn't really fix it (may need some serious cloning/patching).
However, I really love the golden colour that it has overall !... goes well with Bvlgari
Opinions I got lots, expertise none!! Hmm… except for giving opinions!!
I think the only thing that I'm iffy on here is somposition. Don't let anyone tell you the lighting is right or wrong, I think it works. The panels are backlit after all, trying to keep them from blowing out is pointless.
While I agree with Seb that it's all in what you're going for, I do think it would be nice if it didn't blow out the frame on the right as PJ said. Overall I like the shot quite a bit, especially the top panels with the entirely white light framed w/ gold. It exagerates the rigid, metalic feel of this photo in the best way. If the wall panel had the same look I'd like it even more.
I really like the way you work w/ light, it has already fueled several experiments of my own!
