I think the shot needs to be straightened (leveled) I keep waiting for the jars to slide off the shelf, the look on the man's face adds a lot of interest, and I like the choice of B&W. Nice Shot.

I have gone over to the dark side, no more film.

I'm from India myself, and what strikes me most when I go back to visit is the colour. It's a shame to shoot anything in mono in India unless you really have to. The composition doesn't work for me on this one. There are almost two shots in one as the right side of the shop is so detached from the left in appearance. I'd have gone in close and let the colour show. As said above, needs straightening.

I agree on straightening the shot. It just makes the jars look like their going to slide off the table and bust on the ground. Straighten it up, and it would be that much more of an awesome shot.

why on earth someone would tell a beginner to start with mono work is beyond me. decent mono shots have to be planned as mono shots in most cases and so your approach would be very different. you can use colour to compose a shot too so starting with mono in a country bursting with and renowned for its colour and vibrancy is beyond me. ignore it and work in colour. Google 'Steve mccurry' and look at his work in India for ideas and inspiration.

Love the very down to earth industrial look about it, but maybe a wider shot also? Just to give the eye a broader spectrum. But i do enjoy the shot! ^^
You caught the moment well. Very interesting expression, lighting and little store. My only wish, maybe, is thtat there was more space at the bottom (not sure why I want that). That ribbon graphic is awesome too!

Wow I love this picture. The one thing I notice right away about this picture is the expression on the subject's face and that is priceless. It's not so much as the setting/angle, but more so about the moment itself and that moment was captured perfectly. I don't think the tilt matters much in this case and the B&W is perfect for this picture.
Don’t shoot what it looks like. Shoot what it feels like.
There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.
