    Three Cold People

Not sure about the crop here. I thought about cropping the bike out on the left but part of me wants it to stay. Any thoughts?

I like the bike. I'm wondering where the third bike is?? Nice shot.

I like the image's composition and depth, but the lighting is a bit harsh for my taste. Other than that nice shot.

    Re: Three Cold People

Composition is good. Read a composition book a long time ago that suggested that subjects placed on the left of a wide composition looking right showed movement and aggression while those on right facing left showed defensiveness and obstruction psychologially. Never knew if I agreed, but I do notice a lot of art seems to be composed that way. So here it works because the subjects are subdued and kind of defeated and blocked.

Or maybe I am just going on.

I'd keep the bike in. The light is harsh, yes, but what do you do in middle of day when there is a picture to be had.
I also think the harshness of the light is revealing of the harshness of the cold.
I notice only one has gloves on and boy do they look cold!

I would leave the bike. I think if you cropped it out it would crowd the left side too much. It leaves me wondering where is the third bike.

    Re: Three Cold People

Thanks all I guess the bike stays. I am glad because any more cropping and I was just losing to much IQ. I agree the lighting is harsh but what do you do? I tried a B&W version but the subjects just blended to much into the background.

I think its fine as it is Greg. It was a photograph to be had and the conditions were what they were. I agree the composition works well and I say leave the bike in.

Thanks Gary, by the way there were only just the two bikes. The guy in the blue mask was right proud of his bike. He kept fooling with it. I had to wait until he was in his current position to shoot.
