Agua Fria National Forest area ...early morning. The contrast in the rocks was interesting to me.

Looks like a nice standard desert shot. I like that you went with the b/w. In the future though, you may want to use a polarizer, as that will really help your greens and blues pop into postcard country. Good sky as well. If I had to nit pick, I'd say maybe trim it down to 4x5 and crop a bit off the left and bottom to get that main cactus out of the center.

The detail gets a bit lost in the BW, with the busy-ness of the detail I think differentiating the textures with hues is important here. Or perhaps a tighter crop, if sticking with BW.
