I love the title - wasn't at all what I was expecting. Those little feet nicely reinforce the dainty character of hummingbirds, and I like the subtle blur showing movement in the wing. Nice silhouette shot!

Thanks very much for the comment. Sometimes I think half the challenge of getting people to look/comment on photos is the catchy title. I appreciate your time and comment.

Once again, I really like your composition but I am not sure about the exposure this time. Honnestly, it looks accidentaly underexposed to me. I would either see this brighter (perhaps with an hint of fill flash) or darker so the silhouette effect is stronger.

    Hi Seb-

There is no fooling a keen eye. This was critically underexposed but the idea of a silhouette as a photo was obvious. So, I messed around with it until I got this. Thanks for the comments.

    Re: Those Deadly Talons

im sorry but this one isnt doing it for me. the exposure was set for the sky and not the bird - there is simply too much lost/damaged detail in the bird for me to like this shot. the timing and angle are well done though!

Ok. I appreciate that, I was hoping a mistake would become something altogether different in the form of a silhouette especially given the detail of the wing and feet but, I understand....
