    Thankuveramuch...

Same guy as in last post.

Does the lighting work? Composition? Post-processing?

What's good/bad and why? How could I improve upon what's there?

    Thanks for any thoughts.

Well I like it, dirty, rotten, gritty, industrial ect. You might consider getting rid of the light in the middle left side of the frame. Good work.....

Thanks, guys. The "light smear" was added last minute and can be taken out.

On another note, what's the best way to upload files for maximum viewing size with reasonable quality? I have been saving mine as jpegs with 8-bit color and generally have to shrink them down to nothing to before they're small enough to be uploaded here. Am I doing something wrong?

I like this one much better than the other. I like to cropping of the man, but not the background.
However, more than the light bleed, what bothers me is the greenish tint. If you can, set your camera for the type of lighting involved, or introduce studio lighting.
Interesting model and theme. I could image a whole series, and it is weird enough to have some commercial appeal.

    Re: Thankuveramuch...

    Hollis - thanks.

Ron - likewise. I got the light bleed out of there; looks better already. The greenish tint is actually due, I'm pretty sure, to a gel placed over one of the flash heads (deliberate choice, I'm afraid). If not, as you suggested, I'll try to pay more attention to in-camera white balance/colr temperature (if that's what you meant). I admit that that's something I've pretty much ignored up till now.

The background... ah well. I'm going to be reshooting this guy anyway, so... better backgrounds ahead, hopefully, and series forthcoming!

    Thanks again.

Resize your image in PS. Resolution 72 and no more than 800 pixels in either width or height. You might consider too a service like Photobucket.

I like him with the hat on better (in this picture vs. the other one you posted).

This is also something that can be adjusted in Photoshop/PaintShopPro under "color balance". I like the shot overall but agree w/ the previous comments regarding the light smear.
