    Texture

Trying to learn the camera last night along with getting a shot for the theme of "texture" in one of my photo groups and came up with this. I thought it turned out pretty good.

    #33 Texture

ISO is pretty high (like 1250 lol) because I had only a really low light on and at that moment she stopped moving. I had been chasing her around the apartment all evening. I am really surprised there isn't more noise.

All opinions expressed by this person are purely that, opinions which means she doesn't actually know anything about photography.

    Re: Texture

I would have guessed it was like a 400-800 ISO. Pretty good response to high ISO on that Nikon of yours.

If you want to play with some PP in this pic try to add some sharpening, a tad more light and maybe boost a little the mid-tone contrast.

The noise is really low. And the texture is really good too.

    Re: Texture

our d90's perform like freaking champs when it comes to high iso and low noise. I feel like some tweaking could be done with the the exposure or contrast to bring out the fur on the leg.

    Re: Texture

Thanks for the advice. I will play around with it later on. My Photoshoppin' skills need some work.

I love how the D90 performs in low light. It never ceases to amaze me how good of a picture I actually get.

    Re: Texture

I'm with BlueRob. Great shot of the paw though nice and sharp. Try using a silver platter to throw some light on (if you don't have a reflector which I guess you don't) or a bit of kitchen foil. It's good to experiment, I'm doing it all the time.
