    TX,

This is a lovely shot and you might get another good shot if you stood in the middle of the stream to get the symmetry of the two banks.

I get a feeling it needs a bit of a boost in saturation - just a tad not much.

I thought about the middle of the streem idea, I just wasn't in the mood to get wet yesterday Thanks for the compliment.

I'll go back later in march when the leaves return and take another one

Another Texan! There aren't enough of us on this site.

I like your shot. Good DOF and I like the lines and reflexions. The close tree on the left is distracting for me, so I might crop that side a little closer to the water and then crop a little off the foreground to keep the ratio, but that's just my preference. I agree that stepping out into the water might make a good shot, but you don't have to go all the way to the middle.

Where is this? Is it private property?

    Good shooting!

    Hello,
This is a really nice shot of the stream.

I remember reading about a editing technique on this board about a month ago. What do you think of this? (I can't remember the name of the editing technique.)

What a lovely shot! I really like this. Honestly, I'm going to say don't wait for the leaves. I mean, do one then too, but try to get into the stream now (get some rubber boots at the local Home Depot!). Because without the leaves you get that glorious blue sky shining through. I like the tree because of the texture it lends to the image. What bothers me is that gap as you get higher on the tree. That's the part that distracts me.

I like this but like the first post, a longer exposure for a second or two and then maybe a high contrast B&W conversion might look great also.

    Nice work

    I really love this shot!
The composition, the pov, the dof, the perspective, the clarity of the textures in the trees, the lighting, the clear blue sky and the reflections of both the sky and trees in the water.
All in all a wonderful image!

Yeah see I thought it was perfect too, but I appreciate the input. I used the camera in full auto mode, didn't touch a setting. I have a bunch more shots, I might post them too if they are different.

So when are you going to get your feet wet? Can't wait to see the result.
