Test Wide Angle Photos (Sigma 10-20mm)

I just took a walk around the neighborhood and snapped a few shots after I came home this afternoon. Here's what I came up with to test the Sigma 10-20mm lens.

A lot of distortion and/or vignetting. Are they all shot at 10mm?

I like them all but like the last one best.

Thanks guys. ith a superwide lens you can shoot anything and make it look interesting. Frog: I don't see the vignetting. The barrel distortion is normal (I think) at that width isn't it. Yes, I believe they were all shot at 10 mm (although it's possible I touched the zoom ring).

To me on my work PC (has a dark screen) there seems to be less light in the corners.I bet the un resized images look better, they always do. Again on my work PC the silo in front of the van looks like little squars. Not smooth but I would bet again it is due to the resizing.

Not to bad, how much does one of those lens's go for?

    How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?

Not really, as you will likely learn.

Still, these aren't bad for a first attempt and I do like the look of the first image.

A hint, try getting up really close to something and use the great DoF to give depth to land and city scapes.
