    TempeTownLake (repost)

    i just wanted to repost these now that i finally learned what i was doing wrong. i was not using the save for web option so the colors were getting changed when being viewed on a web browser.

    Well, the colours certainly look pretty good now! In an ideal world you might have had a little more river to play with to show off those lovely reflections. I can see by the signs at the bottom though why you couldn't, at least without finding a higher vantage point.

    The one thing I would suggest though is to try taking night shots while there is still a little colour in the sky - after the lights are all on, but before the sky goes too black. Generally that seems to make for more pleasing shots.

    Even so, you've done a nice job.

    Oh... I don't know... I kind of like the stars in the first shot... and it reminds me of city skyline posters where they have text in the black sky. (But these are definitely better without writing.)

    ps. i am planning on going back over there sometime to try out some more things. i really want to see if i can get a higher angle without having to shoot from the side of the freeway. =) i'll try shooting before and after the sun sets as well.
