    Tempe, AZ sunset

This is a 3-shot HDR that I did on a recent trip to Phoeniz, AZ. Taken from "A"-Mountain overlooking Mill Ave and Tempe Town Lake in tempe, AZ.

    Thoughts?

    Re: Tempe, AZ sunset

Steve, this one has nice strong elements. The building there is very interesting and is well lit and also nicely placed in the frame. The color of the sky is incredible and not over the top when you place it in context, as the shot looks a bit like a Sci Fi movie. The lights in the background all work. My only regret is that it isn't a little more like a Sci Fi movie - the bridge, water and a few other objects pull it back to the 21st century, but I guess that's what it is. My only real complaint is the way the bottom of the building is clipped off. Anyway, nice work overall.

Steve I guess this is one of those shots in which preferences will vary, personally I don't like the building as it vies for attention with the blue lights on the bridge. The lighting, exposure, and everything else seems absolutely spot on but I'm sorta wishing you had wandered around the hill a bit and shot some up the river. Also the horizon could be just a bit too central, the upper browny cloud does little for the image and could cropped. Overall it's a very nice shot, others including yourself may differ with my opinion on the building..

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...
