    Teaching Environmental Stewardship

    Hi all,
Comments as far as making some sort of statement (and being fun to look at)?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Re: Teaching Environmental Stewardship

Thanks for the nice words Roger. Here's my thinking....

I'm teaching my kids to care about the ecosystem, yet I get them toys that provide entertainment as they rip it up. So, I guess the "statement" is that we are all hypocrites on some level (well, maybe I should just speak for myself, eh?).

I guess that is a bit of a leap from the photo.
    Cheers,
    Tim

    Tim,
Hmmm! perhaps you need to work on the titles - the photography looks fine.

Using flash here was not a good idea, and would have been stronger comp if you had not cut out the front tire as it is.
Aside from that. . .is this a Tamiya. . .or just radio shack. I used to race an R/C off road buggy at different indoor tracks. I had a Team Losi.

btw,, churning up the soil is good , no? As long as there arent any dogs and cats or limbs caught up in the tires or carriage I say no harm done. And your teaching them to use electric vehicles ;)

    Re: Teaching Environmental Stewardship

    Hi Gary,

I shot it with the flash because it was late at night and I was bored. I saw the truck by the door. I think if I didn't use the flash (shadow hides some of the wood floor) or included more of the truck, then maybe it would be easier to spot as a toy. My hope was to cause a double take -- someone needing a little while to realize that it's a toy... Maybe I'm just fooling myself here. I could try it again, this time with the flash remote and/or bounced/diffused.

So, you've played with these things yourself, eh? I guess it could get spendy. This one was a Xmas gift for my son. It says "FROD" on the windshield (yup, made in China).

    Thanks for the constructive comments,
    Tim
