    Tanker Base

I have a good friend that flies fire bombers for the Forest Service offer to take me for a ride in one for a couple of hours for some pre-season flights today.

Having a little time to wander around the tarmac, I looked for some interesting shots and decided the tired old oil-covered engines were awesome. The vertical one I liked because you can't really tell what it is... it's just something industrial.

Any crits or comments are appreciated.

    Thanks, Chuck

Nice shots! The first one is definately interesting, it was hard to figure out before I read your intro. What a nice use of blue sky and industrial machinary. My favourite though is the last one. It just works, the sky is great, symmetry is perfect, and I even enjoy the vingetting on the corners!

    Nice shots,

I think that the first two shots might be better with a tighter composition so that all you can see is metal.

They are interesting pictures non the less.

    Thanks.
I have a few that are zoomed in real close, but then it looks like it could be an old engine block off of a Chevy V8. I thought the sky added some contrast.
