I'm a bit lost in the scene. The foreground is out of focus but there are parts in the foreground in focus. The white stuff in the foreground is over exposed. What is your subject? You may need to venture out more in the field to get a wider landscape shot.

I bet it is a beautiful area. Keep shooting and thanks for sharing.

Seems like there is a little too much light to make it pleasing to the eye.

Thanks for the feedback. The idea was to capture how the sun reflected over those grass tops in a silvery fashion. The pics were shot through a hole in a fence.

I tried to ease up a bit of the excess light in it.

The scene and the subject matter is not strong, of course thats personal opinion, but you did a good job of framing the scene in that it has a balanced and thought out way about it.
The lighting overall is too harsh here for you to do anything with it in editing. Also, it was the silvery lit grass in the foreground that you wanted to emphasize and so those should all be sharp. It might have be more interesting to have exposed for the highlighted grass. Everything else would have been alot darker and the grass texture better to see.
I like the scene, as simple as it is.

I like the composition but the light is too harsh and to me the image looks oversharpened. I prefer your first image as the warmer colors appear more natural to me than the second.

Normally I am all for tight crops but this wider view with more stuff in it seems like a good idea-alas the lighting kills it.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I like the detail, but an experienced eye can tell it's oversharpened. I like shots like this though - natural, harmonious, and airy.
